EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) -- Murphy Oil Corp. has announced that it will sell its three oil refineries and focus on exploration and its retail business in the United States.
Murphy said Friday that it also plans to sell its gas stations in Great Britain, where it operates 457 outlets.
Included in the sale are Murphy refineries in Meraux, La., Superior, Wis., and Milford Haven, Wales, Great Britain.
The company, based in El Dorado, has more than 1,000 gas stations in the U.S., including many at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. stores.
The company says the move will enable it to focus on exploration, drilling and its U.S. retail operation.
